Microsoft releases Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5670 (Dev channel)

On June 27, 2025, Microsoft pushed a new Windows 11 preview version: Build 26200.5670 (KB5060838) to Windows Insider project members through the Dev channel. This update introduced many new features and improvements, especially in password-free experience, settings optimization, and file explorer repair.

New feature: Password-free experience is further upgraded

In this build, Microsoft(Microsoft teams会议) has partnered with 1Password, a well-known password management service provider, to introduce a new plug-in Passkey credential manager integration feature for Windows 11. Users only need to:

  • Install 1Password Beta.
  • Enable the plugin credential manager in Settings > Passkeys > Advanced options;
  • Turn on the support switch and authenticate via Windows Hello (face recognition, fingerprint, or PIN);
  • The new passkey credential can be used or saved.

This integration allows users to log in to passkey-supported websites more securely and quickly through Windows Hello. At the same time, developers can also access this feature through Microsoft’s official plug-in API .

Microsoft( Microsoft teams会议下载)recommends that test users submit relevant feedback through the “Security and Privacy > Passkey” path in the “Feedback Center”.

Progressive updates: settings and default browser management optimization

Microsoft confirmed that the version number has been updated to 25H2 in “Settings > System > About” and the Winver command , which also means that 25H2 will become the annual feature update version of Windows 11 in the second half of 2025.

In addition, the default browser configuration in the settings has also been adjusted: in addition to the settings changes previously launched in the European Economic Area, in the new build version, the application set as the default browser will be automatically pinned to the taskbar and start menu unless the user cancels this option.
